Motocross Apparel – Ride in Style
ม.ค. 5th
Motocross apparel is very different from any other apparel, as it needs to give the rider the most safety along with freedom of movement. FMX riding, especially with its daring stunts, needs the rider to have free movement, but also needs sturdy protective gear, as chances of crashing and falling are extremely high. This sport is an Extreme Sport, which is why the Freestyle Motocross was introduced in the X Games in 1999.
A sport with such a high level of danger needs the riders to wear protective gear every time. Let’s look at the important motocross gear required.
Body Armour
Body armour is extremely important, as it protects the chest and torso area from impact and also from stones and rocks, especially when you’re dirt riding. This armour can be worn under the jersey and protects the lungs and ribcage from serious damage in case of impact. The only drawback, though, is that the armour gets very hot at times and there is reduced ventilation.
Helmet
Helmets are the most important protective gear any motocross rider has to wear. Many times after a fall, many riders have been saved from a fatal situation only because of their helmets. Agreed, helmets are a bit cumbersome, but a little discomfort is nothing in comparison to a safe life. Some riders even wear neck braces when performing extremely dangerous stunts.
Face Shields
Face shields protect your face from dirt and stones, as you will be riding at very high speeds. Some features:
They protect your eyes and face. They are sometimes attached to the helmet or they can be flipped on and off the helmet and face. Shields should be scratch resistant and impact resistant. Scratched surfaces can blur your vision and the shield should not crack in case of an impact. Tinted face shields during the day are a good idea, but you will require clear glass shields in the night.
Goggles
If you are blinded mid race because of flying debris or mud, then this can be very dangerous, not only for you but for your fellow riders as well. Some features:
Goggles provide protection for your eyes. Goggles should be clear for night riding and can be tinted for the day. Goggles could block peripheral vision, that is, vision to the sides. Goggles should always be worn over the helmet and should be securely tightened.
Gloves
Gloves give your hands protection in case of a crash or burn. Gloves also prevent slipping or losing grip of the handle bar because of sweat or moisture during rain. Gloves give you maximum grip, thus increasing performance and safety.
MX Pants
MX pants are different from normal pants that you wear. They are made from special fabrics that are sometimes fire proof, too. They are not easy to tear and can withstand impacts and crashes, thus protecting the rider’s legs from injuries.
Jersey
Jerseys are special t-shirts designed for motocross riders. These jerseys are made from special fabric that does not tear easily, thus protecting the rider in case of a crash. Some jerseys are even made from fire proof materials to give maximum protection.
Boots
Boots with non-slip soles are another important feature of the motocross apparel. The rider needs maximum grip on the foot holds and pedals to give maximum control over the bike. Accidents can happen if, by mistake, the foot slips and the bike swivels out of control.
Jewellery
Jewellery is not something every rider will wear while racing, but you can wear cool and funky rings, chains and pendants that are non-obtrusive. You can get some cool jewellery with FMX Jewellery, a company that produces jewellery for all hardcore racing fans. For more information, please click here: http://www.fmxjewellery.com.au

Things to Know About Motocross
ม.ค. 3rd
Motocross has its origins in the British off road event called Scrambles that first took place in the year 1924. Since then, motocross grew in popularity and in the 1990s the first sub disciplines of this sport appeared. We are talking about freestyle, supermoto or supercross. The name motocross is a combination of the words “motorcycle” and “cross country”.
This off road sport takes place over a very rough terrain, with sharp turns and steep hills. Professional motocross races have long durations; most of the times over thirty minutes, while amateur races are usually very short, sometimes even less than five minutes. Motocross is a physically demanding sport and motocross amateurs could not be able to finish a thirty minute race. To achieve the performance of racing with the pros, amateurs must go through intensive motocross fitness training, calculated diets and, of course, work on their technical skills.
Motocross is an extremely popular sport, but probably one of the most demanding ones. A rider must be able to control a two hundred pound bike, while maintaining top speed, going through mud, climbing hills and taking hairpin turns. Motocross fitness training is crucial if a rider wants to make it to the pros or if he wants to remain a pro. When you are competing with forty other riders, a good physical condition and good technical skills will help you win races. Of course, the set up of the bike you are riding is also an important factor, but you could have the best bike in the world and still finish last. Motocross fitness training should be a daily routine for all motocross riders.
The popularity of this sport is mostly due to the fact that motocross is demanding. A true athlete wants to reach his limits and even go beyond those limits, and motocross fitness training can help you do that. The physical condition required to be a motocross rider is amazing. Every muscle of the rider’s body must be tuned. Motocross fitness training is crucial in winning races and being the best at your game. Because this sport is so demanding, most motocross riders look for help on the Internet. Motocross training journal software, motocross fitness training software and training tips e-book are very valuable for a motocross rider. Most of the motocross legends use this software.
If you are not cut out for motocross you can at least help this sport by becoming a mx affiliate. You win, motocross riders win, software manufacturers win and everybody is happy. Being a mx affiliate can get you a lot of money. Motocross is a very popular sport and millions of riders and fans look for the latest updates on the Internet. By becoming a mx affiliate, you can improve your Internet rating.
Motocross is a very old sport that improves with each passing day. New motocross riding techniques are being developed, new sub disciplines appear and new motocross fitness training methods are being created each day. Motocross is the sport for everyone. If you can’t or won’t practice it, you can still make some money by becoming a mx affiliate.

Motocross Videos: Did They Die in That Crash?
ธ.ค. 25th
If you like racing, motocross racing is one of the most exciting sports there is. Watching freestyle motocross videos can make you feel like you are one of the riders jumping high into the air, flipping in a somersault and then coming around corners at breakneck speeds. A motocross rider is a fearless Knight on a steel horse that can reach tremendous speeds and be able to jump their motorcycle sometimes 40 to 50 feet in the air. If you want to learn how to become a motocross rider, you need to take it slow. It is wise to take a few lessons first before you begin the sport. Unlike BMX racing with bicycles, if you have a wipe out with a motorcycle you can face serious injury or death. Take some lessons, take it slow, and remember that you are riding on a serious machine.
Watch a couple motocross videos before you take it out for the first time. You need to know what you are getting yourself into. Those are professional riders that you see in the video and they have years of experience. Not only do you have to have experience riding off-road motorcycles, you must contend with riding on a dirt track with several other motocross riders passing you a great speeds. You have to have your full attention on everything that is going on around you. If you do happen to become a motocross rider, you can look forward to some fun and excitement that you will never forget. It is important have fun but never forget that safety is the first issue when it comes to motocross.
The relatively new sport of freestyle motocross riding is an individual event that is judged by several judges. In freestyle the rider can perform tricks like back flips and jumps that require huge air. The rider is scored by best use of the track and crowd reaction. Good to have a fan club if you want a high score.
Some of the award winning and most difficult tricks are a double back flip that was performed by Travis Pastrana at the 2006 X Games and double barrels rolls which are mid air sideways rolls.
A motocross rider needs to be in excellent athletic shape to handle the bikes at the huge g-forces encountered on the track and during tricks. The heart rates of motocross bikers were measured at 190 beats per minute for around 35 minutes; surely maxed out due to the adrenaline rush and high physical demands of the sport. So if you want to take up this sport, make sure you are in good physical shape before you start or you could end up in the hospital without even crashing.
